Dustin Phelps — Founder, Axis Nine Solutions
I’m a sales strategist and financial leader with over 12 years of experience driving growth in the orthopedic medical device industry. Throughout my career, I’ve helped companies—from startups to Fortune 500s—launch high-impact sales strategies, close multimillion-dollar deals, and build cross-functional teams that deliver results.
Before founding Axis Nine Solutions, I led commercialization and sales efforts for Smith & Nephew’s U.S. robotics division, where I consistently exceeded quotas and helped deploy over 200 robotic surgical systems across the eastern U.S. I also served as a corporate finance leader supporting $1B+ orthopedic portfolios, managing pricing models, and shaping long-range revenue strategies.
Axis Nine is the result of what I’ve learned in the field: that the right financial plan, paired with a clear go-to-market execution, can change the trajectory of a business. I built this firm to partner with founders and executives navigating high-stakes growth moments—from product launches to investor diligence to sales team scale-up.
When I’m not working with clients, I serve as Worship Director at Covington First United Methodist Church and Board of Directors at Lakeshore United Methodist Camp & Retreat Center. I bring the same energy and care to my business partnerships that I bring to my community leadership.
